Medical Front Desk Receptionist – Physical Therapy Office

Location: Hampton, VA

Position Overview:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our Physical Therapy team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients and ensuring smooth daily operations at the front desk. The ideal candidate will be professional, dependable, and able to provide exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors warmly and assist with check-in/check-out procedures.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments across multiple locations.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or outstanding balances.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Coordinate with therapists and staff to support clinic workflow.
Provide coverage at our Portsmouth location as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a medical or therapy office preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in scheduling software and basic computer skills.
Reliable transportation for occasional travel between locations.

Full Time: Monday -Thursday 9am - 6pm and Friday 9am -5:30 pm
