Overview

Join our dynamic property management team as an Assistant Property Manager, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will drive exceptional resident experiences and operational excellence. In this vital role, you will support property operations, foster positive tenant relationships, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to the smooth running of our properties, creating a welcoming environment for residents and a productive workspace for staff. Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination.
Support lease or rental agreement management by preparing, reviewing, and renewing contracts in compliance with legal standards.
Use property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite to update records, process payments, and generate reports.
Communicate effectively with tenants regarding lease terms, rent payments, and property policies via phone and email.
Handle conflict management by mediating tenant concerns professionally and ensuring resolution aligns with Fair Housing regulations.
Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses, assisting with financial reports, and managing vendor invoices.
Maintain accurate data entry and filing of tenant records, maintenance requests, legal documents, and correspondence.
Collaborate with team members to oversee property maintenance tasks and ensure facilities are well-maintained and compliant with safety standards.
Uphold excellent customer service standards by addressing inquiries promptly and upselling available amenities or lease options when appropriate.

Requirements

Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles; experience with property management companies is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations.
Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently; experience in data entry, filing, and office administration is essential.
Demonstrated conflict management skills coupled with effective negotiation abilities to resolve tenant issues amicably.
Familiarity with budgeting processes, lease or rental agreement management, contracts review, and facilities management practices.
Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—with professional phone etiquette and client service orientation.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a high level of independence when needed.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and correspondence purposes; experience with property management tools is a plus.
