Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, hard-working General Laborer to join our team and support our on-site leads across active residential construction projects. This is a hands-on, physically active role for someone who takes pride in an honest day’s work, knows their way around basic tools, and is eager to learn and grow within the trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Construction Support: Assist with all phases of residential remodeling, including demolition, framing prep, drywall handling, painting, and trim touch-ups.
- Site Prep & Cleanliness: Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized by managing debris, organizing tools, and maintaining order.
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and stage lumber, building materials, tools, and heavy equipment.
- Tool Operation: Safely operate standard hand tools and basic power tools under the guidance of site supervisors.
- Teamwork & Flexibility: Follow direction from lead carpenters/project managers and quickly adapt to changing task priorities throughout the workday.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Prior experience in construction, landscaping, demolition, or general physical labor is preferred.
- Physical Capability: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs consistently, climb ladders, and work comfortably in varying indoor/outdoor weather conditions.
- Skills & Mindset: Basic tool knowledge, a strong work ethic, punctual attendance, and a willingness to learn from senior crew members.
- Transportation: Reliable personal transportation to and from job sites in the Charles Town, WV area.
