Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of menu items with attention to detail, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
Assist in menu planning by suggesting new recipes and seasonal offerings that align with culinary standards
Execute food preparation tasks including poaching, braising, grilling, and food production to meet high-volume demands
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the workspace
Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and prevent contamination
Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling techniques to preserve freshness and flavor
Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals and accommodating dietary restrictions

Skills

Proven dietary aide experience or background working within dietary departments or healthcare settings
Extensive menu planning skills with knowledge of culinary techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food preparation
Fine dining experience that emphasizes presentation, quality, and attention to detail
Strong food safety management skills including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling practices
Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, knives, and other culinary tools
Experience in high-volume production environments with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent knife skills combined with knowledge of recipe adherence and meal preparation standards
Catering experience or background working in restaurant or food service environments that demand quick turnaround times
