Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Event Manager to oversee and coordinate various events from conception to execution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in event planning and management, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure all aspects of the event run smoothly, providing an outstanding experience for guests and clients alike.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and execute events including corporate gatherings, weddings, fundraisers, and other special occasions.
Develop event marketing strategies to promote events effectively.
Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, and suppliers to secure the best rates and services.
Manage budgets for each event, ensuring all expenses are tracked and accounted for.
Coordinate catering services, including menu selection and dietary requirements.
Provide exceptional customer service throughout the planning process and during events.
Upsell additional services or products to enhance the guest experience.
Collaborate with various teams including marketing, guest services, and hospitality staff to ensure seamless execution.
Handle logistics such as setup, breakdown, and on-site management of events.
Maintain strong communication with clients to understand their needs and expectations.

Experience

Proven experience in event planning or management is essential.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable contracts.
Experience in marketing events to drive attendance and engagement.
Familiarity with budgeting processes related to event management.
Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, vendors, and team members.
Background in hospitality or restaurant management is preferred but not required.
Experience in banquet service or catering is highly desirable.
