Job Description:
This position leads a roustabout crew in performing a range of oilfield services, including new well construction, maintenance, and general roustabout work. The role provides hands-on guidance to roustabout laborers and ensures efficient, safe execution of jobs. Work involves using various tools and equipment (which may include tractors, trucks, trailers, and maintenance equipment) to complete tasks such as trenching, concrete work, fencing installation/repair, and pipe laying/threading/fitting. The crew pusher oversees facilities and general well site construction according to site plans, including installation and use of valves, pumps, separators, fittings, and other oilfield-related equipment. This role also supports building barrier walls, compressor sheds, fences, assembling/repairing pipelines and lines, rigging and assisting in setting loads, and performing cleanup/housekeeping as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing training, supervision, and development for roustabouts to maximize safety, efficiency, and productivity
- Provide transportation to/from job sites as necessary for the crew using a company vehicle and trailer if needed
- Regularly clean, inspect, and maintain assigned company vehicle and equipment; collaborate closely with mechanics/supervisors as needed
- Secure and safely transport equipment per company policy and DOT regulations
- Ensure the crew has required safety and work equipment; ensure equipment and PPE are inspected, cleaned, and maintained for safe use
- Complete and document a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and conduct a Pre-Job Safety Meeting upon arrival at each location prior to starting work
- Properly complete and submit field tickets or other documents showing crew work time
- Communicate regularly and effectively with field management regarding jobs, hazards, needs, and employees
- Comply with all company and location Safety/DOT policies while working in a potentially hazardous environment
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years supervisory roustabout pusher experience
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- Basic understanding of construction/roustabout tools and procedures
- Ability to supervise roustabout laborers to support skill development and safety
- Ability to set pumping units, batteries, and treaters; perform maintenance work on wells, pumping units, and treaters
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and operation
- Capable and resourceful in lining up equipment for consecutive jobs as requested
- Ensure quality products and services are provided to the customer
- Knowledge of equipment and tools commonly used in the oil and gas industry
- Basic math skills for common calculations
- Professional, motivated, and able to complete assigned tasks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment involved in roustabout work
- Working knowledge of computers and software (Microsoft Office, email, timekeeping programs, invoicing, etc.)
- Ability to communicate effectively (typing, speaking, reading, writing, hearing) with employees, managers, and relevant third parties
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb/balance, and stoop/kneel/crouch for extended periods unassisted
- Ability to wear a respirator when required
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate industrial machinery
- Ability to repeatedly lift and/or move up to 65 pounds unassisted
- Adequate visual acuity, hearing, speaking, reading, and writing to perform tasks safely
- Ability to work outdoors in loud environments and in inclement/extreme weather; exposure to electricity, mechanical parts, vehicles/equipment, and hazardous materials
- Ability to work long hours and frequent weekends
- Preferred: 3 years supervisory roustabout pusher experience
- Preferred: Valid Class A CDL

Pay: $24-35/hr (depending on experience)
