Full Job Description

Summary

Freeway Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Estimator to add to our purchasing team. The Cost Estimator will analyze project requirements, gather data, and calculate costs associated with materials, labor, and production processes. This position interacts internally with all departments and managers to develop accurate cost estimates. This role also include some responsibility for the purchase of raw material, purchased component, outside processing services, lab services, MRO & office supplies, and miscellaneous products and services.

Responsibilities

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and customer proposals to prepare cost estimates
Engage with material and outside processing suppliers for quotations
Track supplier performance & collect supplier certifications
Maintaining outside process pricing in ERP system and working with suppliers on outside process pricing issues
Prepare and provide detailed cost analysis reports to management
Maintain cost databases and track changes in production costs

Requirements

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
