Full Job Description

We are currently searching for a skilled CNC Programmer II to join our manufacturing facility for a permanent position. If you are a professional who thrives on tackling complex machining tasks and utilizing sophisticated CAD/CAM tools within a team-oriented, quality-focused setting, this role is a great fit. You will play a vital part in our production efforts by developing and refining programs for CNC equipment to manufacture precision metal and non-metal parts.

Your Responsibilities

Analyze technical drawings and blueprints to establish the necessary machining specifications.
Utilize CAD/CAM platforms like Mastercam or GibbsCAM to generate precise toolpaths for various machining tasks.
Enhance program performance by refining cutting strategies, speeds, feeds, and tool choices to ensure superior output.
Validate toolpaths and conduct simulations to identify potential errors prior to starting production runs.
Work alongside production, engineering, and quality departments to streamline processes and address technical hurdles.
Improve overall equipment efficiency and minimize operational downtime by debugging programs and tooling setups.
Develop and manage essential technical documentation, including setup sheets, process instructions, and program files.
Support the growth of the team by offering mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff members.
Keep up to date with the latest advancements in machining software and industry techniques.
Promote a secure workplace by adhering to all safety guidelines and ensuring machines are operated correctly.

Desired Qualifications

At least five years of professional experience in CNC programming within a production setting.
Deep knowledge of CAD/CAM software suites and G-code/M-code programming languages.
Comprehensive understanding of various materials, tooling, and multi-axis machining techniques.
Proven ability to accurately decode and apply technical specifications from blueprints.
Strong analytical skills to help boost machining quality and overall program efficiency.
Meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
Effective interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration within the shop floor environment.
Background in managing multi-axis operations and complex part geometries is highly valued.

Background and Training

A High School Diploma is mandatory.
Preference is given to candidates with a technical certificate, a completed apprenticeship, or equivalent professional tenure.
