iting-Turner is looking for a self-motivated, collaborative, and confident individual with a minimum of 2 years of experience leading multi-discipline BIM coordination efforts for either a Subcontractor or General Contractor. Work experience in the Federal sector is strongly preferred. The individual will be expected to manage the Virtual Building process for multiple projects. J

s individual will lead various project teams in the execution of a Virtual Building program. They will also be tasked with leveraging BIM and other emerging technologies to promote VDC adoption within Whiting-Turner’s Federal portfolio. Q

alified Candidates should: B

proficient in reading and understanding construction drawings and interpreting construction schedules. Ha
e an intermediate knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. Be
adept in coordination management software used to aggregate BIMs and run conflict detection. Th
ive in a team environment contributing to both large projects and producing independent work. Ha
e an innately curious, forward-thinking personality to push innovative ideas in all aspects of daily tasks. Be
able to multi-task and work concurrently on multiple projects. T

pical Daily tasks include: R

iewing RFPs and specifications for BIM requirements. De
eloping BIM Execution Plans. Ev
luating Design Intent models for constructability and accuracy. Cr
ating virtual simulations to validate and improve site logistics, safety concerns, building sequencing, and scheduling. De
eloping BIM scope language for BIM participating trade partners. Le
ding collaborative meetings with trade partners and designers to resolve above ceiling conflicts using virtual models. Pr
ducing clash reports and action items for distribution to all BIM stakeholders. As
isting with Virtual mock-ups and gap modeling specific systems. Ge
erating and tracking RFIs resulting from the Virtual Build Process. De
eloping composite shop drawing submittals. Te
ting new software programs and technologies and making recommendations on use for project-specific needs. S
