Job Overview
About Salt + Charm
Salt + Charm is a luxury catering, events, and meal prep/delivery company based in Wilmington's Cargo District. We build weddings and events that feel effortless to our guests because everything behind the scenes is anything but. Our brand is a little salty, but charming and we bring warmth and hospitality without ever cutting corners on execution.
The Role
We're looking for a rare kind of team member: someone who can run the floor at a black-tie wedding on Saturday and run our office on Monday morning. This full-time role blends Front of House Event Lead and Office Administrator, two jobs that, together, keep Salt + Charm's events flawless and its business humming.
If you love the energy of live events but also genuinely enjoy the behind-the-scenes work that makes them possible - the scheduling, the ordering, the details nobody sees but everybody feels, this role was built for you.
What You'll Do
On the Floor (Event Lead)
- Lead front-of-house service at weddings and high-end private events, setting the pace and tone for the entire guest experience
- Manage, brief, and motivate a team of servers and event staff on-site — before, during, and after service
- Coordinate timing and communication with kitchen, bar, and event planning teams
- Anticipate guest and client needs before they have to ask
- Handle real-time problem solving with grace under pressure
- Ensure every event meets Salt + Charm's quality bar, start to finish
In the Office (Administrator)
- Manage day-to-day office operations - calendars, emails, vendor and supply ordering, invoicing
- Support staffing logistics: scheduling, onboarding new hires, and assisting with payroll-related admin
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks such as tracking expenses and accounts payable/receivable
- Keep internal systems, files, and communications organized so the leadership team can move fast
- Act as a connective thread between the events calendar and the business side of Salt + Charm
What You Bring
- Required: Experience in hospitality or the event and/or wedding industry - you understand the stakes, the pace, and the expectations that come with this world
- Proven leadership managing service staff in a live, fast-moving event environment
- Comfort with office/admin work. You are organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed without needing constant oversight
- A polished, professional presence with genuine warmth. Guests should feel taken care of, not managed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings for events, balanced with weekday office hours
- A team-first mindset. You lead by example, not by title
- Bonus points if you've ever said "I'll just handle it" and meant it
Why Salt + Charm
- A genuinely unique full-time role with variety, ownership, and real impact on the business
- Work with a respected, growing luxury events brand in one of Wilmington's most sought-after event destinations
- Competitive pay based on experience
- A team that takes the work seriously and each other's well-being seriously, too
