Job Overview
Edgewater Environmental Consulting continues to grow and we are hiring dependable, hardworking insulation installers to join our growing team. This is a piece-rate position with strong earning potential for employees who work efficiently, maintain quality standards, and contribute to a productive crew.
Job Responsibilities
- Install open-cell and closed-cell spray foam insulation
- Install fiberglass and Rockwool batts, blown-in fiberglass, cellulose, and InsulPC insulation
- Perform attic air sealing
- Install netting, ventilation baffles, foam board, vapor barriers, and protective plastic
- Remove existing blown-in insulation and metal-building insulation
- Install rockwool, crawlspace plastic, attic access doors, and ventilation products
- Operate insulation equipment, spray foam rigs, removal machines, and company vehicles
- Properly prepare, protect, and clean job sites
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Follow job specifications and crew leader instructions
- Maintain professional conduct while working in customers’ homes and businesses
- Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment
Compensation
This position is paid using a crew piece-rate compensation plan. Pay is calculated according to the type and quantity of work completed by the crew. Crew earnings are distributed among crew members according to established crew percentages.
Piece-rate categories include:
- Open-cell and closed-cell spray foam
- Fiberglass batts and blown-in insulation
- Cellulose and InsulPC installation
- Insulation removal
- Air sealing and ventilation work
- Mineral wool and specialty insulation
- Additional installation and job-site tasks
Employees who work efficiently, limit material waste, maintain installation quality, and help the crew complete projects on schedule will have the greatest earning potential.
Requirements
- Previous insulation, construction, roofing, HVAC, or general labor experience is preferred
- Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, metal buildings, and other confined areas
- Ability to work in hot and cold conditions
- Ability to lift and carry insulation, equipment, hoses, and materials
- Ability to climb ladders and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Dependable transportation and consistent attendance
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew
- Must comply with company safety and employment policies

This is a full-time position. Start times and daily hours may vary depending on project location, weather, job requirements, and production schedules. Some night, weekend, or out-of-town work may occasionally be required.
