Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an MRI Technologist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. You will operate advanced MRI scanners to produce detailed images that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. Your expertise will ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging, contributing directly to improved patient outcomes. MRI TECHNOLOGIST - Wilmington NC 28401

Facility : Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center

Hourly pay rate $60-$62/hr

Job Description:

Shift: Nights (3x12 hours) – 18:30 to 07:00, Wed/Thurs/Sat
Contract Length: 13–20 weeks accepted
RTO Policy: No RTO allowed after booking; onsite requests not permitted. Any call‑offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation/DNR.
Call Requirement: None
Float Requirement: None

Required Skills/Certifications/Experience:

Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
Unit will not accept first‑time travelers
Locals accepted (rate difference applies)
Skills: abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion (non‑brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral MR, spin echo, surface coils, T1/T2, CINE
Certifications: BLS, ARRT‑MR
Recent hospital experience required

Preferred Skills/Certifications/Experience:

Chest imaging
Image post‑processing

Patient Demographics:

Required: adolescents, adults, geriatrics
Preferred familiarity: neonates, infants, pediatrics

Equipment & Systems:

Equipment: GE, Siemens
Documentation: EPIC
Scrubs: Royal blue

Additional Notes:

Contract staff may be assigned to Storm/Hurricane Teams and required to report during catastrophic events.
Consolidation to Centralized Office mid‑contract may occur.
Orientation: Week one, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM daily. Travelers must be fully available; missing any portion may delay or cancel start.
Expected start date subject to Novant’s schedule and trainer availability.

Pay: $60.00 - $62.00 per hour
