Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, guest rooms, and equipment to ensure a safe, clean, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and team members. This position performs a variety of maintenance tasks, including diagnosing and repairing plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and PTAC systems. The technician responds promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests, completes preventive maintenance inspections, and ensures all repairs are performed efficiently and in accordance with hotel standards and safety regulations.

Duties

Perform general maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and PTAC systems.
Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests and complete repairs in a timely and professional manner.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair building systems, fixtures, appliances, and equipment.
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of the hotel's outdoor swimming pool, including monitoring pool equipment and water quality to help ensure compliance with applicable health and safety standards.
Assist with room renovations, preventative maintenance projects, and property improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and repair records.
Support emergency repairs and respond appropriately to unexpected maintenance issues.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule during the hotel's peak season. The on-call rotation is shared with two other Maintenance Technicians to provide after-hours coverage for maintenance emergencies and urgent guest service needs.
Work cooperatively with other departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and PTAC systems.
Experience with swimming pool maintenance is preferred or the ability to learn proper pool operation and maintenance procedures.
Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and perform repairs independently.
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, kneel, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations outside of normal business hours when scheduled for on-call duty.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
