Description of Work
The primary purpose of this position is to provide responsible and skilled supervision in directing all day-to-day facets of Admissions operations and the Ship's Store, under the supervision of the Director of Retail Sales. The Sales Supervisor provides problem resolution for ticket-buying customers, special admissions, and groups. Responsibilities include daily operation of the Ship's Store and Admissions, including personnel management, cash management, customer service, and any other requirements that impact store and admissions operations.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Staff Supervision: Lead, train, and direct daily sales personnel handling retail merchandising, ticket sales, and admissions check-ins.
- POS & Cash Management: Operate Counterpoint POS terminals, approve overrides, balance cash drawers, and generate daily sales reports.
- Merchandise Oversight: Supervise stock receiving, merchandise displays, price tagging, damage checks, and conduct monthly inventory audits.
- Guest Relations: Deliver high-standard customer service, assist visitors with inquiries, and resolve customer complaints with tact and professionalism.
- Daily Facility Operations: Manage opening and closing procedures for the ship's store and Admissions
- Policy & Safety Enforcement: Ensure staff adherence to rules, state standards, and site operational policies.
- Cross-Department Liaison: Collaborate with other departments, external vendors, and management to maintain smooth visitor operations

Recruitment Range: $39,244.00 - $45,000.00

Position/Physical Requirements
Must be available to work the schedule of Monday -Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with occasional weekends and holiday required as needed.
Must be able to perform moderate physical activity, including handling objects up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation, and standing/walking for extended periods during high visitation days.

Section/Unit Description
The revenue-producing guest relations unit of the Battleship, managing admissions, retail sales, group sales, and onsite Battleship Steel store purchases. Serves over 200,000 visitors annually and generates the major portion of operating funds for the Battleship.
Division Description
The Battleship North Carolina Memorial serves as the State’s memorial to those North Carolinians who served and died in WWII, as well as a tribute to all veterans past and present. Veteran’s and National Guard Preference
