Full Job Description

Express Employment Professionals Dayton South is now hiring CNC Machinist for a company in Kettering, OH.

Position Summary:

The Operator learns and operates CNC and other machines and machining centers. The Operator also applies basic knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques.

Essential Job Functions:

Learns industrial math, print reading, and machining theory related to the department they are assigned.
Under the guidance of the Level 3 Trainor or Team Leader, the operator learns skills related to the department, which they are assigned.
Loads raw material and unloads finished product from machine.
Performs basic deburring.
Learns basics of safety, sawing, drilling, materials, turning, and speeds and feeds.
Learns safe operation of, receives practical experience on: lathes and milling machines within the department they are assigned.
Ability to set up and operate machine tools for drilling, milling and grinding.
Follows sequence of operation on router.
Communicates with co-workers, and team leader to receive instructions and coordinate activities.
Knowledge of reading calipers and gauges.
Ability to read blueprints and part drawings.

Job Classification Requirements:

High school graduate with previous manufacturing experience a plus;
Must have a good work ethic;
Must be dependable with a good attendance record;
Must be detailed oriented;
Must have aspirations of becoming a machinist;
Must stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor;
Exerts between 10 and 50 pounds on frequent basis;
Always adheres to Company safety policies
Previous CNC Experience (1-2 years minimum)
