Location: Brentwood, Los Angeles, CA

Job Type: Full-Time (40+ hours/week)

Reports To: Head Coach & Ownership

Body Fit Training (BFT) is a global strength and conditioning brand with 300+ locations worldwide. Our Brentwood studio delivers structured, 50-minute group strength and conditioning sessions designed for all fitness levels.

BFT operates on a two-coach per session model and is built on three core pillars that differentiate our product:

Elite Coaching
Progressive Programming (8–10 week training blocks)
Heart Rate Technology

We are a high-expectation, growth-focused studio in one of the most competitive fitness markets in Los Angeles and are seeking a top-tier leader to join the team.

About the Role

We are looking for a Full-Time Lead Coach – Sales & Member Experience Manager to join the Head Coach as the leadership of our group fitness team. This is not a personal training role – It is a hybrid coaching and business leadership position where the majority of your time spent is driving sales, retention, and day-to-day studio operations. If you love sales and customer service, connecting with people through fitness, and want a role with real ownership over the member experience, this role is for you.

Hours & Pay

- Schedule: 40+ hours/week. This is a sales and operations role – you’ll coach an average of 6-12 classes (2-4 days) per week, with the majority of your time focused on sales and member service, partnering closesly with the Head Coach on all sales efforts.

- Salary: $70,500 PLUS Health Benefits & Monthly Bonus Potential

- Additional Monthly Bonus Opportunities: Monthly bonus structure of up to $1,200 per month, on top of salary. Based on studio performance metrics achieved.

- Health Benefits: Health Benefit Stipend of $450 per month in addition to Salary and Bonus Structure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Lead Management

- Partner with the Head Coach to build and execute the studio’s lead management and sales pipeline

- Serve as a primary driver of in-studio sales alongside the Head Coach

- High volume calls with new and existing leads to schedule intro/booking sessions

- Conduct booking calls and convert prospects into scheduled sessions

- Follow up on missed or unconverted sales opportunities in coordination with the Head Coach

- Meet or exceed monthly sales quotas and KPIs as set by studio leadership

2. Member Care & Retention

- Daily Point of Contact & will lead efforts for all member care/service

- Handle all member billing requests, cancellations, and freeze requests per protocol.

- Help build and improve systems and processes that elevate the member experience

- Host members and support their in-studio and out-of-studio progress, including setting consults and added services, where applicable.

- Own member service and retention category of the studio as a top priority

3. Grassroots Sales, B2B Partnerships & Events

- Represent the studio at grassroots and local marketing events (e.g., farmers markets, sponsorships, tabling at local businesses, & B2B partnerships)

- Strategize, schedule, and execute member social events, seminars, and other on and off-site partnerships to drive membership culture and growth.

4. Operations

- Assist Head Coach & Ownership with basic day-to-day studio operational needs (ie studio print marketing, member communications, studio cleaning, and supplies etc.)

- Assistance with social media requests from agency partner, where applicable.

5. Coaching & Product Delivery

- Deliver high-energy, structured 50-minute group strength and conditioning classes to up to 36 members

- Create a motivating, inclusive, safe, and high-performing training environment

- Help lead and manage the coaching team alongside the Head Coach

- Coach on average 6-12 classes (2-4 days) per week, Monday through Saturday, and occasional Sundays

6. Leadership & Studio Culture

- Set the tone for the coaching floor — energy, professionalism, accountability, and cleanliness standards

- Participate in and help lead leadership and performance meetings with the coaching team

- Own floor standards: cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and day-to-day operational upkeep

Location

All work — both coaching and administrative hours — is performed in-studio at our Brentwood location.

Job Requirements

- Proven fitness sales and operational experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding quotas

- Experience with Member Retention and client relationship management (CRM) in a fitness setting

- Preferred 1–2 years of group fitness coaching experience (but not required)

- Full-Time availability to work demanding hours and flexibility for mornings, nights, and weekends as assigned by Employer.

- Proficient in Excel, email, ClubReady (or a similar fitness CRM system) and written business Communication

- Has an existing Nationally recognized Personal Training certification (NASM, ISSA, or other) OR is willing to obtain one within 6 months of hire date.

- Current CPR Certification

- References are required

Job Skills

- Highly organized, operationally minded, and a self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit.

- Able to implement new systems as well as execute new ones for membership Sales and retention/care

- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and connect with a wide range of people

- Diligent and task oriented, especially around sales and member retention tasks

- Experience handling objections and closing in-person/in-studio sales

- Comfort with outbound calling, lead follow-up, and converting leads into bookings

- Preferred experience in progressive strength and conditioning-style training

- Self-driven, innovative, and creative

- Personable with a genuine love for helping people achieve and sales

- Excellent communication skills and a passion for coaching

Pay: $75,900.00 - $90,000.00 per year
