Full Job Description

Busy medical/surgical dermatology practice seeks a mature and responsible individual to join our Mohs surgical team in a temporary full time capacity. We have two office locations, both in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Experience required in all essential histotechnician skills. The hours are 7:30 am to completion of Mohs surgery cases Monday-Thursday.

Essential job duties include:

· Process, embed, cut and stain tissue specimens

· Coverslip stained sections, verify that staining shows adequate cellular distinction

· Assures specimen labeling requirements are met

· Perform frozen section staining and processing

· Monitor quality control under the direction of the lead technologist

· Maintains a safe work environment and complies with CLIA regulations

Qualifications

· Associates degree or 2 years of undergraduate studies preferred

· Histotechnician (HT) certification preferred

· Excellent fine motor skills, able to work accurately and efficiently and be detail oriented

· Ability to work in a team environment and have excellent verbal communication skills

· Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with our values and reflect excellent patient care standards
