Full Job Description

Position Summary

Corridor Title is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Escrow Assistant to support both our Builder and Residential Escrow Teams in our New Braunfels office. This role provides administrative and operational support throughout the escrow process, helping ensure smooth, accurate, and timely closings. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, works with a sense of urgency, and is willing to step in wherever needed to support the team and deliver exceptional customer service.

Essential Duties

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.

Escrow & Transaction Support

Provide backup support for contract opening and file setup.
Coordinate and communicate with buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, builders, and other transaction parties as needed.
Distribute information sheets and transaction-related communications.
Request Agent Disbursement Authorizations (DAs).
Order payoffs, surveys, home warranties, and other documents required to clear files for closing.
Assist with file curative items and other pre-closing requirements.
Cancel escrow files and process related documentation when necessary.
Support Escrow Officers and team members with administrative and operational responsibilities.

Funding & Compliance

Balance file, work with lender on trailing items needed, and fund transactions.
Verify payees, addresses, and amounts with invoices.
Send and verify incoming and outgoing wire instructions in accordance with company procedures.
Initiate wires and cut and send checks.
Verify cashier's checks and other funds received for closing.
Record documents.
All post closing duties; barcoding, etc.
Send Congratulations emails and documents to buyer, seller, and Realtors.
Maintain compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and fraud prevention procedures.

Administrative Support

Provide front desk coverage and deliver exceptional customer service to clients and visitors.
Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, overnight deliveries, and courier services.
Maintain accurate electronic and physical file records.
Assist with special projects and provide support across both Builder and Residential operations as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of escrow, title, real estate, or related industry experience preferred.
Knowledge of escrow and closing processes strongly preferred.
Experience handling disbursements, wire verification, payoffs, and escrow documentation is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work with a strong sense of urgency.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office technology; experience with title and escrow software (SoftPro) preferred.
Team-oriented mindset and a positive, professional approach to serving clients and coworkers.
