Job Summary
Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier/Sales Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will drive exceptional customer experiences! In this role, you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes shoppers, assists them with their purchases, and ensures smooth checkout processes. Your proactive approach will help promote products through engaging demos and suggest additional items to enhance customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service to create a welcoming shopping environment
Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions efficiently and handle cash, credit, or digital payments with precision
Assist customers with product questions, demonstrate features or benefits through product demos, and upsell items to maximize sales opportunities
Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure products are stocked neatly on shelves
Manage stock levels by stocking shelves regularly and communicating inventory needs to management
Follow proper phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
Support team members by supervising during busy periods, helping with product knowledge sharing, and ensuring store policies are followed

Qualifications

Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-first attitude are essential
Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math to ensure accurate transactions
Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks related to stocking and merchandising
Demonstrated phone etiquette and excellent customer service skills
Supervising experience is beneficial for supporting team leadership roles within the store
