Job Title: Phlebotomist

Location: Chelmsford, MA

Job Type: Contract (Possible Temp. to Perm)

Duration: 3 months

Schedule: Mon-Fri; 40 hrs per week (9.30 am to 6 pm)

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to perform blood collection procedures for medical testing, transfusions, donations, and research purposes. This role requires expertise in venipuncture and pediatric blood draws, along with strong attention to detail in labeling and preparing samples.

Key Responsibilities

Draw blood from patients of all ages for medical testing, transfusions, donations, or research.
Perform venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel pricks as required.
Label and prepare collected samples accurately for processing.
Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
Follow established protocols for infection control and specimen handling.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience drawing blood from pediatric patients.
Proficiency in venipuncture and other blood collection techniques.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sample labeling.
Ability to work with patients of all ages.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in hospital, clinic, or laboratory settings.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and laboratory information systems.

Certifications

Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent preferred.
