Location: Winchester, VA
Company: Annandale Millwork and Allied Systems Corporation

Position Overview

Annandale Millwork and Allied Systems Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Estimator to join our Estimating Department. This role is responsible for managing multiple project estimates, supporting bid strategy, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to secure new business.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong understanding of construction estimating, and can balance independent work with team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, coordinate, and manage multiple project estimates simultaneously
Review bid documents, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate and competitive pricing
Establish and maintain estimating procedures and evaluation systems
Assist in identifying and selecting projects to pursue
Develop and manage bid schedules and deadlines
Analyze projects to develop effective win strategies
Review pricing, scope, and project schedules for accuracy and competitiveness
Build and maintain relationships with owners, purchasing managers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
Review and analyze project cost reports
Conduct post-bid reviews to improve future performance
Assist with proposal preparation, presentations, and securing new work
Support and/or lead design-build project estimating efforts
Assist with inventory coordination as needed
Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry materials up to 30 lbs as needed
Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience
2+ years of estimating experience in construction, millwork, or related industry
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Effective time management skills
Ability to read and interpret commercial and residential blueprints
Knowledge of construction practices, contracts, and terminology
Familiarity with building codes, laws, and ordinances
Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with estimating and order entry software (Biztrack preferred)
Bilingual skills are a plus
