Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Caregiver Personal Care Assistant, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of support. You will provide compassionate care and assistance with daily living activities, ensuring that our clients feel valued and respected. Your dedication and skills will make a significant difference in their lives, allowing them to maintain independence while receiving the care they deserve.

What you’ll do

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote emotional well-being.
Monitor and document vital signs, changes in health status, and overall well-being of clients.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs.
Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties and maintaining hygiene standards.
Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans tailored to individual client needs.
Support clients with memory care techniques for those experiencing Alzheimer’s or dementia-related challenges.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies and communicate any concerns regarding client health.

Skills

Proven experience in caregiving or personal care assistance, particularly in home health or assisted living settings.
Strong understanding of patient observation techniques and the ability to monitor changes effectively.
Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and confidentiality in all interactions.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs is highly desirable.
Familiarity with using assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient handling and mobility support.
Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary while maintaining proper body mechanics for safety.
Compassionate demeanor combined with patience and resilience to handle challenging situations effectively.
