Position Summary
The Hostess/Busser plays a critical role in creating the first and lasting impression for every guest. This position is responsible for warmly welcoming guests, supporting the flow of the dining room, maintaining cleanliness and presentation, assisting the service team, and helping create an organized, elevated, and memorable dining experience.
This is not a casual role for someone looking to do the bare minimum. We are looking for someone who is dependable, coachable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and fully committed to being part of a strong team. This position requires seriousness, consistency, personal responsibility, and scheduling flexibility. We are looking to fill both Lunch and Dinner shifts.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Greet every guest with warmth, professionalism, and urgency
- Create a welcoming first impression from the moment guests walk in
- Manage the wait list, seating flow, and front-door hospitality with poise and accuracy
- Thank guests sincerely as they leave and invite them back
Dining Room Support
- Reset and buss tables quickly, thoroughly, and with attention to detail
- Keep the dining room, host stand, restrooms, and service areas clean, stocked, and presentable at all times
- Assist servers and managers in maintaining smooth service flow
- Refill water when appropriate and support guest needs proactively
- Help maintain a clean, organized, high-standard environment throughout the shift
Teamwork
- Support the front-of-house team wherever needed
- Communicate clearly with hosts, servers, bussers, bartenders, and managers
- Step in quickly during busy periods without needing to be asked repeatedly
- Protect the guest experience by helping the team stay fast, clean, and coordinated
Professional Standards
- Arrive on time, in full uniform, ready to work
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene, grooming, and professional appearance
- Follow all opening, shift, and closing duties with consistency
- Take direction well and respond positively to coaching
- Uphold our standards even when the restaurant gets busy
Requirements
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Must be dependable and consistently punctual
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and peak business hours
- Must have scheduling flexibility
- Must work well in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move bus tubs, glass racks, chairs, and supplies as needed
- Prior restaurant experience is a plus, but character, attitude, and willingness to learn matter most
