Full Job Description

Opportunity for Growth!

7 Summits Construction a Hartford-based, full-service construction company and is currently in growth mode. We are seeking a full-time Project Engineer to provide technical support, manage communications and support on-site construction activities, under the direction of the Project Manager. We anticipate this as a quick upward career path position to Project Manager or Superintendent for a self-starter with leadership ambitions.

For the near future, this Project Engineer will work with the Project Manager and Superintendent to support all project activities, manage the flow of the project, communications, budget, schedule, safety and quality. We will also look for assistance with internal operational strategies and development of process protocols and technology.

We offer Construction Management, General Contracting, and Owner’s Representation services to public and private clients in non-profit, municipal, healthcare, education, and mixed-use markets. About You

A leader involved in all aspects of the project – budget, schedule, safety and quality control.

Maintain all project documentation and communications, update, respond, and track as needed:

- Submittals

- RFI’s

- Timesheets

- Invoices

- Contracts

- Change Orders

- Permits

Assist Project Manager with information flow between owner, design team and field staff.

Actively participate in project meetings, take minutes, provide interoffice memos, and distribute to appropriate project stakeholders.

Support project manager with building permits.

Assist the Superintendent with analyzing drawings and specifications.

Facilitate project billing and payment applications.

Heavy involvement in closeout, training and warranty including assembling O&M Manuals.

Skills & Qualifications

4 Year Construction Management Degree or equivalent preferred.

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Etc.

Experience with Procore, Building Connected, Blue Beam Software or similiar preferred.

Sound organizational and time management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Demonstrate flexibility and is adaptable to change

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines

Self-motivated and proactive. Is able to accomplish tasks without direct oversight

A valid Driver’s License
