Do you have an interest in working with children and adolescents with autism or related developmental disabilities? New Beginnings Behavior Services is hiring full-time and part-time Registered Line Technicians and Registered Behavioral Technicians for our office in Bastrop, LA.
No experience needed, on-the-job training is available to all new hires. Experience working with children ages 0-12 in a group or 1:1 setting is preferred, and experience in implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis as an RLT or RBT is highly preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Behavioral Technician will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, designed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst, to children with Autism and related developmental disabilities in the clinical setting. The Behavioral Technician will collect data on programs, assist with parent training, and assist the Behavior Analyst, Lead Behavioral Technician, and ABA Interns with clinical assessments as needed. The Behavioral Technician will be responsible for implementing the plans developed by the clinical LBA. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols assigned by the client's BCBA/BCaBA.
Follow and record data for prescribed toilet training protocols.
Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Utilize safe & appropriate handing procedures when working with clients.
Maintain client confidentiality.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
Be able to pass an FBI/State Police Background check.
Able, to work in a clinic, school, and local Head Start setting.
BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment, if applicable.
Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods.
Must have appropriate transportation to get to work and any school location you may be assigned as a work site.
QUALIFICATIONS: Behavioral Technician 1: Entry Level Behavioral Technician 2-5: Various Experience & Education Levels

EDUCATION: Required: MInimum of a High School Diploma or Higher. Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP Employment Supervisor: Program Director Clinical Supervisor: Behavior Analyst
RELATED TRAINING: Responsible for completing and maintaining all required certifications and trainings once employed including, but not limited to: CPR, Fingerprinting & Background Checks, RBT trainings and other company in-services and trainings as directed by employment supervisor.

Schedule:
- 6 to 8 hour shift (32 to 40 hrs/per week)
- Monday to Friday (8:00 am to 5:00 pm)
