Full Job Description

Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Schedule: Full-time, primarily in person

Starting salary: $40,000

Expected total compensation: $60,000–$70,000 for strong performance in first year

This is not a typical entry-level sales job

We are looking for an ambitious, energetic person who wants more than an ordinary first job. You may have recently graduated, worked in a restaurant or hotel, built a side business, sold something on your own, or simply developed a reputation for being the person who makes things happen.

You do not need previous technology sales experience. We care more about your initiative, creativity, confidence, resilience, and ability to connect with people.

Your job will be to create new business opportunities by getting Navarac in front of local business owners and decision-makers. Some days that will mean calling or emailing prospects. Other days it may mean attending an event, visiting businesses around North Carolina, delivering something memorable, asking a customer for an introduction, or developing an entirely new way to get someone’s attention.

You will also learn how businesses can use AI in practical, meaningful ways. Through exposure to our AI consulting work, enterprise tools, training, and real client needs, you will receive a hands-on enterprise AI education while getting paid.

This role is integral to our growth. You will work directly with the owners, receive significant coaching and resources, and have the opportunity to become as valuable to the organization as your performance and ambition allow.

Navarac is a fast-growing Winston-Salem IT Services company that provides outsourced IT support, cybersecurity, and technology and AI consulting to small and midsized businesses. Our team includes six IT professionals, three application developers, and two actively involved owners-and we expect to double in size over the next year.

What you will do

Reach business owners and decision-makers through calls, emails, networking, referrals, and in-person outreach.
Spend time in the community visiting businesses, attending events, and developing local relationships.
Work with our owners, sales coaches, and marketing partners to test and improve our outreach.
Learn how to conduct discovery meetings and identify business and technology needs.
Qualify prospective clients and schedule discovery meetings.
Maintain accurate records of every prospect, interaction, follow-up, and outcome in our CRM.
Consistently complete required follow-up activities and meet weekly and quarterly targets.

Compensation and incentives

Starting base salary of $40,000 with performance incentives. Strong performers should have a realistic opportunity to earn approximately $60,000–$70,000 in total annual compensation in your first year.
Performance incentives for every qualified discovery meeting that is held.
Enhanced incentives during your first 90 days, to reward early activity while you build your pipeline.
Accelerated incentives for exceeding the quarterly quota.
Eligibility for an annual bonus.

The incentive structure is designed to reward performance immediately and provide additional upside for exceeding expectations. Final incentive terms and qualification requirements will be documented as part of the offer.

What you will learn

We view the development of this person as a serious investment. You will work directly with two owners and learn how a growing small business generates leads, sells services, manages client relationships, measures performance, and makes decisions.

You will be paid to build skills and relationships that could otherwise take years, and tens of thousands of dollars, to develop independently.

We expect the role to evolve based on the person’s performance, interests, and the company’s needs. Potential paths include:

Account Executive - Learn to lead discovery meetings, develop solutions, prepare proposals, and close new business. This progression would include a higher base salary and greater performance-based earning potential.
Sales Leader - Help design our sales process, coach and train future representatives, manage performance, and take ownership of a growing sales function.
