Position Overview
VERSA Technologies is seeking a motivated and technically skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our growing Managed Services and Consulting team in Winston-Salem, NC.
This is an onsite position based at our Winston-Salem office with regular visits to client locations throughout the area. Company vehicles are provided for travelling to and from client sites.
In this role, you will work directly with a wide range of business clients to support, maintain, secure, and improve their IT environments. You will gain hands-on experience across Microsoft 365, virtualization, networking, cybersecurity, cloud services, backups, infrastructure systems, and end-user support while working alongside a collaborative and experienced engineering team.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and remote support for client IT environments
- Configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, servers, printers, mobile devices, and related hardware
- Support Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Exchange environments
- Configure and support virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V
- Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VPNs, and VLANs
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, servers, mobile devices, and related hardware.
- Assist with cybersecurity best practices, endpoint protection, backups, patching, and disaster recovery solutions
- Perform root-cause analysis and proactively resolve infrastructure and performance issues
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal engineering staff to resolve technical issues efficiently
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, configurations, and service records
- Consult with clients regarding technology improvements, planning, and best practices
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and occasional scheduled maintenance windows

Qualifications & Experience
- Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
- 3-5+ years of experience supporting business IT environments, infrastructure systems, or managed services preferred
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and client environments effectively
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Professional, dependable, proactive and detail-oriented with a strong client-service mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Desire to continue learning new technologies and advancing technical skills

- Endpoint security and antivirus solutions

- ConnectWise, Kaseya, or similar MSP toolsets
- Cloud backup and business continuity solutions
