Job Summary

Job Summary

Austin Electrical Enclosures is seeking a motivated and hardworking Manufacturing Trainee to begin a career in industrial production and metal fabrication. This entry-level position is designed for individuals eager to learn all aspects of our manufacturing process, gain hands-on technical skills, and grow into a skilled Production Worker or Machine Operator. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and an eagerness to take direction and learn new skills.

Responsibilities

Learning & Skill Development:
Actively participate in all training programs related to safety procedures, equipment operation, quality control standards, and manufacturing processes.
Work closely with experienced production personnel and supervisors to learn job duties across various departments, including fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly.
Demonstrate a consistent eagerness to learn new machinery and technical skills, seeking guidance when needed.
Production Support:
Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading materials, staging components, and transporting finished products.
Perform general production tasks, such as cleaning parts, sanding, grinding, and basic assembly work.
Support machine operators by ensuring materials are prepared and machines are kept clean.
Quality & Safety:
Perform basic quality checks on products and components, identifying and reporting defects immediately.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering strictly to all 5S principles.
Adhere to all company safety guidelines, policies, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
General Duties:
Operate various simple hand tools, measuring tools, and potentially some basic power tools under supervision.
Follow detailed verbal and written instructions accurately.
Show flexibility by cross-training and assisting in other departments as production needs dictate.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
No prior manufacturing experience is necessary; we will provide comprehensive training.
Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working in an industrial environment.
High degree of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing repetitive motions.
Willingness to work required shift hours and occasional overtime.
