Full Job Description

Warehouse Inventory Control Coordinator

Full-Time | 1st Shift | In-Person
Pay: $15.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience

Position Summary

Cathtek Inc. is seeking an experienced, highly organized Warehouse Inventory Control Coordinator to independently manage all inventory-control and warehouse functions for one warehouse.

This is a hands-on, one-person department with no direct reports. The selected candidate will be personally responsible for maintaining the warehouse, organizing inventory, controlling inventory movement, completing inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining all related records.

The ideal candidate will have substantial warehouse supervisory or inventory-lead experience but must be comfortable performing the daily work independently. This position requires proven knowledge of:

Inventory storage and location-control methods
Physical inventory counting procedures and controls
Cycle-counting methods
Inventory-card systems
Excel-based inventory tracking
Month-end and year-end physical inventory reporting

Cathtek currently tracks inventory through physical inventory cards, supporting paperwork, and Excel spreadsheets rather than a traditional warehouse management system.

Primary Responsibilities

Independently manage all daily warehouse and inventory-control activities
Establish and maintain a logical, clearly labeled, and reliable inventory storage system
Assign and maintain accurate storage, shelf, bin, and warehouse locations
Ensure all parts can be located quickly and are stored in the proper designated area
Receive, unload, inspect, store, pick, issue, move, return, and adjust inventory
Maintain QC quarantine inventory until parts are approved and released
Place released materials into the correct inventory locations and update all records
Maintain accurate physical inventory cards for each applicable part or location
Read, update, reconcile, and audit inventory cards
Maintain complete and accurate Excel inventory spreadsheets
Record and verify part numbers, quantities, customer names, work orders, inventory status, and storage locations
Ensure physical inventory, inventory cards, transaction paperwork, and Excel records remain in agreement
Maintain appropriate controls for inventory received, transferred, issued, returned, scrapped, or adjusted
Perform scheduled cycle counts using consistent and documented counting methods
Investigate count variances and determine the cause of inventory discrepancies
Correct approved discrepancies across physical inventory, cards, paperwork, and Excel records
Follow up on missing paperwork, unrecorded movements, and incomplete inventory transactions
Report shortages, overages, damaged materials, unidentified parts, and location problems
Provide timely inventory information to Production, Quality Control, Sourcing, and Management
Complete and submit a full month-end inventory report to management by the first of each month
Coordinate and complete year-end physical inventory counting, reconciliation, and reporting
Maintain a clean, safe, orderly, and audit-ready warehouse

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have:

Significant hands-on experience managing warehouse inventory
Proven knowledge of inventory storage, organization, labeling, and location-control methods
Strong experience with physical inventory counting procedures and inventory-count controls
Expert-level experience performing cycle counts and resolving variances
Experience reading, maintaining, and reconciling physical inventory cards
Strong Excel skills, including creating, maintaining, updating, sorting, and reconciling inventory spreadsheets
Experience preparing month-end inventory reports
Experience completing or supporting year-end physical inventory and reconciliation
Previous warehouse supervisor, inventory supervisor, warehouse lead, or inventory-control lead experience
Strong counting, basic math, reconciliation, data-entry, and documentation skills
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to recognize weak inventory controls and establish more reliable procedures
Ability to investigate discrepancies and follow transactions from receipt through final issuance
Ability to work independently, remain self-directed, and accept full responsibility for inventory accuracy
Ability to communicate effectively with Production, Quality Control, Sourcing, and Management
Ability to lift and move parts as required
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a box truck
Ability to safely operate a pallet jack, electric lift, and forklift

Important Role Expectations

This is not a people-management position. Although prior supervisory experience is strongly preferred, the selected candidate will personally perform and maintain the warehouse and inventory-control work.
