Entry-Level Drafter

J.A. Eisch – Commercial Casework & Custom Woodwork Manufacturer

Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry-Level Drafter to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to learn and grow in the commercial casework industry. Working closely with experienced drafters, project managers, and production staff, you will create accurate shop drawings using AutoCAD and Cabinet Vision, and help bring our customers’ visions to life.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret basic blueprints and architectural drawings
Create detailed shop drawings to company standards using AutoCAD and Cabinet Vision
Assist in reviewing architectural documents to verify specifications
Work with team members to ensure drawings meet project requirements and deadlines
Learn proper construction methods and custom engineering techniques
Support the drafting team in preparing files for the production process
Maintain drafting standards and help organize project documentation
Participate in training to develop skills in CNC programming and software use
Follow safety and security procedures at all times

Qualifications

Technical diploma, associate degree, or relevant coursework in drafting/design preferred
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Cabinet Vision a plus, but training will be provided
Ability to read basic architectural blueprints and specifications
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Interest in woodworking, cabinetry, or manufacturing is a bonus
