Full Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to join our team in Wausau! This position plays a key leadership role in supporting CCU’s compliance program and risk management efforts. The Compliance Manager helps ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies while proactively identifying and mitigating risk. This individual will work collaboratively across departments, oversee key compliance and fraud-related functions, provide staff guidance and training, and help promote a strong culture of compliance and operational integrity.

What You’ll Do:

Help lead CCU’s compliance strategy, monitor regulatory changes and emerging risk, and keep leadership informed of compliance matters and program performance.
Monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations and recommend updates to policies, procedures, and internal control as needed.
Maintain compliance-related policies and procedures and review disclosures, forms, agreements, marketing, and advertising materials for regulatory compliance.
Support CCU’s BSA/AML/CFT and OFAC compliance programs, including risk assessments, suspicious activity monitoring, CTR/SAR reporting, 314(b) requests, training, and exam preparation.
Oversee CCU’s fraud management program, including fraud monitoring, reporting, internal coordination, control implementation, and staff training.
Develop and coordinate compliance training and communications to help ensure staff understand regulatory requirements and responsibilities.
Collaborate across departments to identify and mitigate operational, financial, compliance, and reputation risks while promoting a culture of accuracy, accountability, integrity, and service excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Compliance, or a related field strongly preferred.
At least 3–5 years of credit union or banking experience in compliance, operations, or risk management.
Supervisory experience required.
Strong understanding of financial institution compliance and regulatory requirements; BSA/AML/CFT, OFAC, fraud prevention, and risk management experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidential information with discretion and exercise sound judgment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and work effectively with credit union systems.
