Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and accountable Nutritionist to develop and execute a comprehensive nutrition service that aligns with funder guidelines and integrates into existing programs. This role requires strong ownership, precision, and follow-through to ensure nutrition services are effective, compliant, and responsive to client needs. The ideal candidate is strategic, detail-oriented, and equally comfortable with planning, coordination, and hands-on service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a nutrition service model that meets funder and state requirements
Create practical, budget-conscious meal plans tailored to diverse and high-need populations
Integrate nutrition services into existing programs, ensuring consistency and alignment across service areas
Oversee food planning, coordination, and logistics to support efficient service delivery
Participate in hands-on pantry operations, including packing food bags and supporting weekly distributions
Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to support food distribution and program activities
Collaborate with staff across all levels and engage effectively with diverse client populations
Liaise with medical providers, healthcare partners, and external agencies to support coordinated client care
Manage invoicing, billing, and Medicaid-related documentation with accuracy and timeliness
Ensure full compliance with all state, Medicaid, and funding requirements
Maintain accurate records across multiple EHR platforms and reporting systems
Monitor service delivery, identify gaps, and make real-time adjustments to improve effectiveness
Contribute to a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and high-quality service delivery

Qualifications

New York State Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN) required
Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (RDN preferred)
Experience working with Medicaid populations and state-funded programs
Strong organizational, multitasking, and execution skills in fast-paced environments
Proven ability to take initiative, manage competing priorities, and follow through independently
Experience with billing, invoicing, compliance, and documentation requirements
Proficiency navigating multiple EHR systems
Demonstrated ability to develop cost-effective, nutritious meal plans
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse staff and client groups
Ability and willingness to perform physical tasks related to food distribution (lifting, packing, standing for extended periods)
Experience recruiting and managing volunteers preferred
Bilingual (English/Haitian Creole) preferred

Pay: $93,000.00 per year
