Full Job Description

Wilentz is seeking a full-time Junior Paralegal/Legal Secretary with 1-2 years of experience in Mass Tort, Class Action, and/or complex plaintiff's personal injury litigation to join our Woodbridge office.

Responsibilities

Intake and management of new matters
Obtain, organize, and review medical records and other case-related documents
Draft, file, and serve pleadings, motions, and discovery in New Jersey state and federal courts
Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and data management systems
Communicate regularly with clients, requiring a professional telephone manner and strong client service orientation
Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys and paralegals
Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

1-2 years of relevant litigation experience
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) preferred
Prior law experience required
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to think critically

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Excellent typing and document preparation skills
Working knowledge of eCourts and PACER/ECF electronic filing systems preferred
Experience with case management and document management software is a plus; training will be provided

This is position is on site, full time.

The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, and thrives in a busy litigation environment while working on a wide variety of complex cases.
