Licensed Psychotherapist — Private-Pay Practice (Arlington, VA)

Forge & Form Therapy is a premium, direct-pay psychotherapy practice in Arlington, Virginia, serving Northern Virginia and the D.C. metro area. We opened in 2025 with a clear vision: build a practice where exceptional clinical work is the standard, and where clinicians have the infrastructure, support, and autonomy to do their best work.

We're looking for a fully licensed clinician (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent) ready to carry a full caseload with real autonomy, working alongside a practice owner who is genuinely invested in your growth. Clients here arrive motivated and engaged; our clinical culture values depth, directness, and fluency across modalities over allegiance to any single framework.

What you'll do

Carry and manage a therapy caseload, building toward 25 sessions/week
Practice with autonomy — you set your caseload composition and clinical approach
Participate in weekly 1:1 consultation with the practice owner
Option to facilitate group therapy as your caseload and interest develop
Optional creative involvement, based on your interest: writing projects, workshops, retreats, podcast features, or helping shape new clinical programs and groups

What we're looking for

Full, independent licensure in Virginia (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent)
Demonstrated competence in individual therapy across a range of presenting concerns
Comfort operating as an independent contractor with a high degree of autonomy
Specialization in children/adolescents, sex therapy, EMDR, or trauma/complex trauma is a strong plus, not required

Compensation

Independent contractor (1099), $215/session, 60% revenue share (65% floor available for strong performers after Year 1). At a full caseload of 25 sessions/week, annualized compensation is $154,000+. Most clinicians ramp toward full caseload over their first several months as referrals build.
