We're seeking an experienced Cable Manufacturing Production Operator to join our growing production team. This position is intended for candidates with direct experience manufacturing wire and cable products in a production environment.
As a small and growing company, our team works collaboratively and wears multiple hats. While your primary responsibilities will focus on cable manufacturing operations, you may also assist with other production-related activities as needed. As the business grows, responsibilities will become more specialized, and there will be opportunities to expand into areas such as process development, engineering support, quality, production leadership, training, or other technical roles based on your interests, abilities, and the needs of the company.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot cable manufacturing equipment, including taping, wrapping, braiding, serving, bonding, extrusion, winding, and testing operations.
- Perform equipment changeovers and process adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Perform cable testing as required – cable stripping and termination
- Read and interpret manufacturing travelers, work instructions, setup sheets, engineering drawings, and product specifications.
- Monitor critical process parameters and make adjustments to maintain consistent product quality.
- Perform in-process inspections and accurately complete production and quality documentation.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and assist with equipment improvements.
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality to support new product introductions and continuous process improvement.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of direct wire and cable manufacturing experience is required
- Hands-on experience operating equipment such as tapers, braiders, bonders, cablers, twisting, and serving equipment
- Demonstrated ability to perform machine setups, changeovers, and process troubleshooting with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of continuous manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
- Ability to read manufacturing documentation, engineering drawings, and product specifications.
- Experience using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges, and inspection equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic math and computer skills for production documentation and data entry.
- Ability to read, write, speak in English.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
