Full Job Description

Receptionist and Insurance assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist with health care experience - to join our team in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for

Working in EPIC-EMR to manage new and returning patients, authorization and chart prep for upcoming days. Doing reminder calls and checking the upcoming clinics for appropriate scheduling and authos.

Heavy phone management skills.

Assist others with preparation for office visits, CT scans and office based procedures.

We are staffing 3 offices - Atherton, Sonoma and SF - staff drive to distant office 2 - 4 days per month.

- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk. Manage medical scheduling, ensuring appointments are booked accurately and efficiently. Perform insurance verification to confirm patient coverage prior to appointments.

- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary. Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers to facilitate smooth operations.

- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar front desk role within a healthcare setting, preferably in a surgical clinic. Attention to detail and accuracy in managing medical records and scheduling tasks.

Willing to learn Billing and Accounting and Surgery Scheduling within BASS Medical Group - partnered site.

MUST have at least of 3 years of excellent skills using EPIC - EMR system.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
