Full Job Description

OVERVIEW:

Manages the sales, operations and fiscal activities of the site. Plans and develops systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the store. Supervise, coach and train staff according to company policies and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensure customer engagement and satisfaction is our #1 priority.

2. Manage store sales, operations, inventory turns, margins and profitability.

3. Assist customers when needed on the yard.

4. Approve labor/scheduling to maintain budget guidelines.

5. Ensure the store is staffed with qualified employees through the recruiting, screening and interviewing processes.

6. Provide ongoing training to all store personnel to allow development and advancement within the company.

7. Open and close the store as needed.

8. Ensure that operational and merchandising standards are consistently met.

9. Ensure product is promptly unloaded, received and displayed on the yard.

10. Oversee product inventory to ensure that store has adequate stock to meet customer’s needs.

11. Monitors safety compliance and ensure supplies of safety equipment are on hand.

12. Perform yearly evaluations for all core employees on yearly basis or as needed.

13. See to all performance based issues with employees in a timely manner for development, growth and disciplinary action.

14. Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, DOT requirements (if applicable), and environmental regulations.

15. Maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, organization, and security of the yard, buildings, equipment, and vehicles.

16. Manage customer complaints and service issues, providing timely resolution and follow-up.

17. Monitor and control operating expenses to meet budget and profitability goals.

18. Partner with sales teams, growers, vendors, and other company locations to ensure product availability and customer satisfaction.

19. Oversee equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.

20. Review and approve inventory adjustments, cycle counts, and physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy.

21. Analyze business metrics, sales trends, labor costs, and inventory performance to develop action plans and improve results.

22. Ensure compliance with all cash handling, purchasing, receiving, and administrative procedures.

23. Coordinate yard logistics, product flow, and loading activities to ensure efficient customer service and delivery operations.

24. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to support customer retention and business growth.

25. Accept other responsibilities as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· Two year degree in Horticultural or Agricultural Business or related field or five years nursery management experience.

· GA State Certified within first two years of job classification.

OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, QUALIFICATIONS

· High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact and diplomacy.

· Computer skills:

· Intermediate level of skill in Outlook and Excel.

· Point of Service Training

· Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.

· Ability to lift 50 lbs on occasion and 25 lbs regularly.

· Strong leadership and communication ability to delegate efficiently.

· Strong ability to train others.

· Requires standing and/or sitting for long periods of time.

· Ability to multi-task.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
