Full Job Description

Four unique venues. Hundreds of celebrations a year.

One person keeping the details straight (kidding, you'll have help!).

Sayre Hospitality Group has been in the hospitality industry since 1983. Today we operate four of the most sought‑after event venues in this part of Ohio — and every wedding, gala, conference and anniversary at all three starts the same way: with a couple or a company that has a date in mind and a hundred questions.

Somewhere between that first phone call and the night of the event, somebody has to make sure every detail actually gets written down, confirmed, and passed along to the right people. That's this job.

We're hiring a full‑time Event Administrative Assistant to work directly with our Director of Venue Sales. You'll build and maintain event files, gather final details, keep our calendars in order, and be a welcoming first point of contact for the people reaching out about their events.

This is an entry‑level position and we will train you. You don't need an event background. If you're organized, warm on the phone, and the kind of person who notices when something doesn't look right, we can teach you the rest.

And unlike most jobs in this industry, this one keeps your weekends. It's a Monday‑through‑Friday position. If you want to work an event on a Saturday, that overtime is there for the taking — but it's your call, not a requirement.

What you'll do:

Build and maintain event files — assemble every option, selection and detail a client has chosen into one complete, accurate file the Director of Venue Sales can review and finalize
Collect the details that make events run — final guest counts, menu selections, timelines and floor plans
Be a welcoming first contact — respond to inquiries from engaged couples, families and businesses, and help start those relationships off right
Communicate with vendors — caterers, florists, photographers, DJs and rental companies
Keep three venues' worth of information organized — contracts, event calendars and follow‑ups
Support the Director of Venue Sales — scheduling tours, preparing materials and following up with prospective clients
Make sure nothing slips — confirm the details are locked in well before the doors open

What we're looking for:

Warm, professional communication — you're comfortable on the phone and in writing
Real attention to detail (you're the person who catches the typo, the wrong date, the guest count that doesn't add up)
Comfortable with everyday computer work: email, spreadsheets and calendars
Organized and dependable, with the ability to track many events across three venues at once
Available Monday through Friday during business hours
Reliable transportation
High school diploma or equivalent

$17.50 per hour, 40 hours per week, on a true Monday–Friday schedule
