Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Donation Processor to join our team. This role is vital in managing incoming donations, ensuring proper inventory control, and maintaining a smooth warehouse operation. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse functions, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting. Bilingual abilities and familiarity with retail or grocery store environments are a plus. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause while developing valuable skills in inventory management and logistics.

Duties

Receive, sort, and process incoming donations efficiently and accurately
Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts for moving large quantities of items
Perform inventory control tasks, including stocking, organizing, and maintaining storage areas
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks
Prepare donations for distribution or resale, including packaging and merchandising items
Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse environment through regular cleaning and maintenance
Support retail sales efforts by organizing produce or merchandise for display
Ensure compliance with safety protocols during heavy lifting and equipment operation
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate workflow and address issues promptly
Maintaining a positive working relationship with donors, volunteers, customers, and staff.
Assist staff as required to maintain an orderly flow of items in and out of the warehouse and outside.
Oversee selection and pricing of items in-store.
Assist customers with loading purchased items.
Work the checkout counter.
Achieve excellent customer, donor and volunteer service ratings.

Requirements

Previous warehouse experience preferred; familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus
Ability to operate RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment safely
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods
Knowledge of retail math, merchandising, shipping & receiving procedures is desirable
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
High school diploma or equivalent.
Self-motivated, reliable and enthusiastic and must enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism. Excellent communication and conflict resolutions skills required.
A willingness to demonstrate flexibility, being proactive, and adaptability. Commitment to a safe working environment.
Some Saturdays required.
