Somebody has to keep the day from falling apart.
The flowers arrive late. The bustle on the dress won't cooperate. The groom's uncle is asking where the bar is for the fourth time. And the bride is about to walk down the aisle and just needs someone to tell her that everything is handled.
That's you.
Sayre Hospitality Group is hiring part‑time Day of Wedding Coordinators for our four event venues. This work is weddings and weddings only — no corporate events, no banquets. One family, one day, your full attention.
No wedding experience required. If you've worked in restaurants, retail, hotels, catering or anywhere else that taught you to think on your feet and treat people well, we can train you on the rest.
What we expect:
Let's be direct about the standard, because it's high and we'd rather you know now.
150% effort and service to the family hosting the event. Seamless execution between vendors. Immediate problem solving. And a smile the entire day — not just when someone's looking.
A wedding happens once. There is no second take, no rescheduling, no fixing it next weekend. When you commit to a date, a family is counting on you to be there and to be fully present. That's the whole job.
What you'll do:
- Run the day's timeline — keep ceremony, photos, dinner, toasts and dancing moving on schedule
- Take care of the couple and their families — be the calm, steady presence from the moment they arrive through the end of dinner service
- Greet and direct vendors as they arrive — florists, photographers, caterers, DJs, rental companies — so everyone is working from the same plan
- Oversee setup — confirm the floor plan is right and every décor detail is placed before guests arrive
- Assist the wedding party and guests with questions and last‑minute needs
- Solve problems immediately and quietly — handle the small emergencies before anyone in a white dress ever hears about them
What we offer:
$25.00 per hour — roughly $200 to $250 for a single wedding day
You're off before the dancing ends — your night wraps after dinner and dessert service. You will not be locking up the building at midnight; our catering teams / venue staff closes out.
Paid training — you'll shadow experienced coordinators before you ever run a day on your own
A schedule that stays out of your weekdays — this works alongside school, another job, or family
Four beautiful venues to work in, spread between Ashland, Wooster, and Orrville, + a team that actually likes each other
Opportunity to pick up additional dates during our busy season
Work that people remember, and thank you for, for the rest of their lives
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
