Full Job Description

Plastixs, a small and highly successful company located in Shrewsbury, seeks an Accounting Clerk / Customer Service Representative. This person reports to our Senior Accountant and is responsible for a myriad of accounting and customer service duties and must be self-motivated, an outstanding team player, and possess excellent communication and attention to detail skills.

This position will invoice customers which requires interaction with a number of information sources, vendor invoices, freight invoices, and a credit card processing system as well as other accounting tasks. As time allows or business dictates, this person will also handle customer service responsibilities including answering the phone, taking orders and sourcing materials.

Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Create, enter, and send vendor invoices.

2. Create customer invoices & statements.

3. Send overdue payment reminders to customers and follow-up.

4. Process credit card payments and reconcile credit card batch reports.

5. Enter and reconcile data in multiple business systems including QuickBooks and CRM tools.

6. Assist customers by telephone and email in placing orders and purchasing products from vendors.

7. Work as a collaborative team member to ensure customer satisfaction and company profitability.

Requirements:

1. Solid job history.

2. High School diploma or equivalent. Prefer associate’s degree or applicable training.

3. At least 3 years’ experience as a in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.

4. At least 3 years experience QuickBooks with a high level of proficiency, preferably QuickBooks Desktop, or similar systems.

5. Proficiency in CRM, HubSpot preferred.

6. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus.

7. ERP experience a plus.

8. Solid and advanced experience with MS Word and Excel including developing Excel spreadsheets from scratch.

9. Proven aptitude in dealing with complex issues and resolving problems.

10. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

11. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.

12. Ability to communicate positively, professionally, and effectively by telephone and email.

13. Strong Microsoft Office skills including excel, and outlook.

14. Team player, ‘can-do’ attitude and superb attention to details and organizational/analytical skills.
