Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Kitchen Team Member responsibilities include and are not limited to:

· Ensure all food meets food safety and quality standards to ensure avoidance of cross-contamination on the front line

· Organization within a fast-moving environment

· Appropriate use of social skills including professionalism, congeniality, and discretion to make guests feel comfortable and welcome and to serve as a role model for the staff.

· Experience and skill in maintaining a detailed, high-quality and task-oriented workload in a fast-passed and dynamic environment

· Prep all cold and hot food items using prep instructions and worksheets

Follow proper knife safety procedures
Operate oven and hot prep equipment, ensure proper time/temp of all hot and cooked foods
Operate fit-wash, robot coupe and all other cold prep equipment
Maintain clean, food-safe dish washing and preparation stations throughout all shifts, including set-up and breakdown of all relevant workstations
Manage communication between Service Team Members and Kitchen Manager, inventory front line, prep zones, oven and walk-in to determine needs. Ensure areas are always stocked
Learn and maintain knowledge of our changing menu & ingredients
Properly receive and store incoming orders of food and beverage products

Requirements/Desired Traits:

Knowledge of proper food safety handling
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with kitchen and food prep equipment

Quick and adaptable learner
Collaborative communication skills and comfort asking questions
Responsibility and accountability in upholding high standards

Physical Requirements:

Ability to read and comprehend information at a close range at a close range, and follow instructions accurately and efficiently
Ability to use electronic systems, such as computers and tablets.
Physically able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils

Job Type: Part-Time 20-25 Hours per week - Full-time availability as well

Pay: Starting at $20.00 p/h (based on experience)

10:00am-4:00 pm, 3-4 shifts per week.

Weekend shifts are required.

Café hours of operation are 7 days per week, 11am - 3pm

Current SERV-SAFE Certification recommended
