Position Summary

The Fabrication Processor will support a modern Metals Fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will be able to use a variety of equipment such as calipers, micrometers, press brakes, sheers, crosscut saws, drills and hand tools. Must be detail oriented, able to stand for long periods of time and lift to 50 pounds repeatedly over an 8-hour shift. Focus on safety and quality are of greatest importance in this position.

What You’ll Do

Foster a culture of safety awareness & safety prioritization that ensures compliance.
Ensure that quality standards are met, champion quality ownership of work center.
Enforce all company rules, policies, and procedures; communicate concerns with division management and/or Corporate.
Responsible for receiving materials.
Supply raw materials to machines.
Support machine operators by marking parts.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, documents, and specifications to determine job requirements.
Conduct inspections by verifying measurements using various hand measuring tools.
Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.
Prepare material for packaging.
Assist shipping operations as needed.
Responsible for keeping areas clean and safe from hazards.
Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by the division and/or corporate management team.

Education Requirements

A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent such as a GED, is required.
Technical school and/or practical experience is highly preferred.

Experience and Certifications

2 years fabrication experience required.
Experience using a waterjet
Forklift, Bridge Crane experience preferred.
Blueprint and drawing interpretation a plus.
Working knowledge of set up and fabrication techniques.
Experience in a Manufacturing facility is a plus.

Possess the ability to always maintain confidentiality and discretion and handle sensitive information with confidentiality and tact.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee safety is a top priority at ASA and assigned workload may involve handling of heavy machinery, tools, and materials and as such we like to be clear and transparent about the physical requirements to perform this role safely.

Ability to lift at least 25lbs.
Extensive computer use.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Have good depth perception and color discrimination.
