Full Job Description

Stone & Berg Company, Inc. is a fifth-generation family-owned security hardware distributor. We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk with strong communication, customer service, and technology skills - a position that reports to the Office Controller. You will be working with the Distribution One ERP Software for Wholesale Distributors. We offer competitive benefits (Health, Life Insurance, 401(K) match and profit sharing, Paid Time Off).

Duties/Responsibilities:

Post customer payments by recording cash, check, EFT, and credit card transactions.
Contact customers regarding overdue accounts and determine reasons for non-payment.
Resolve invalid or unauthorized deductions with customer.
Follow-up on customer product returns to ensure credits are issued timely.
Process customer account applications.
Distribute customer statements monthly.
Process customer credits for return and defective merchandise.
Process customer billing for factory direct shipments.
Part-time duty as receptionist.
Procurement of Office Supplies.

Experience Requirements:

Effective communication (written and verbal).
Advanced knowledge of MS office.
Billing specialist and collection experience.
Understanding basic accounting and accounts receivable principles.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Full Time Position

Monday – Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.
