We are looking for experienced fire sprinkler foremen capable of leading crews on complex industrial construction projects. This is not entry-level foremen accustomed to running small crews.
Pay: $30–$40+ per hour based on documented experience
Travel Required: (4-6 weeks at a time) | Nationwide Projects

At North American Fire Protection, we design and build high-performance fire protection systems for some of the most demanding industrial facilities in the country. Our work includes large-scale cold storage, food processing, mission critical, manufacturing, distribution and specialty industrial projects requiring technical expertise, leadership and execution at a high level.
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Fire Sprinkler Foreman capable of leading crews on large, fast-paced specialty construction projects nationwide. This is not an entry-level foreman role. This position is for a proven leader who has successfully managed sizable sprinkler crews, coordinated with other trades, driven production and maintained accountability on complex industrial job sites. If your experience is limited to working with one helper or small tenant fit-outs, this position will likely not be the right fit.
We are looking for field leaders who can command a job site, solve problems under pressure and help drive operational excellence across our projects nationwide.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading and managing fire sprinkler installation crews on large industrial and specialty projects
- Driving productivity, crew accountability and installation quality
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications and coordinated construction drawings
- Planning daily and weekly work activities to maintain schedule milestones
- Coordinating with Project Managers, Superintendents, Designers and other trades
- Managing layout, material planning and manpower needs efficiently to support production goals
- Participating in installation and working alongside your crew. This is a working foreman position and not a supervisory-only role.
- Troubleshooting field issues and proactively solving installation challenges
- Maintaining strong communication with customers, contractors and internal teams
- Enforcing OSHA, jobsite safety and NAFPCO safety standards
- Conducting quality control inspections to ensure NFPA compliance
- Keeping projects and crews compliant through accurate completion of required daily documentation including; daily reports, JSA’s, equipment inspections, toolbox talks, timekeeping, progress tracking and photo documentation
- Utilizing company apps and software platforms for daily documentation, reporting and communication
- Training and developing apprentices and fitter team members
- Operating lifts, threading machines and construction equipment safely
- Following established company processes, installation standards and procedures consistently across all projects
- Bringing forward ideas to improve efficiency and operations while understanding that field installation activities will follow company processes and standards unless otherwise approved
- Holding crews accountable while maintaining professionalism, urgency and jobsite leadership
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license with dependable transportation
- 8+ years of fire sprinkler installation experience
- Formal completion of an apprenticeship or Journeyman required
- Prior experience leading crews on large commercial or industrial projects
- Proven ability to manage manpower, production and field coordination
- Strong understanding of NFPA 13 systems and installation standards
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and coordinated BIM layouts
- Experience with; Dry systems, Preaction systems, ESFR systems, Fire pumps, Large industrial systems
- Preferred experience with; Industrial cold storage experience, food processing facility experience, mission critical or data center experience, distribution and warehouse construction experience, NICET certification, experience with Procore, Raken and BusyBusy, OSHA 30
- Experience with construction software (ProCore, Raken, BusyBusy preferred)
- Strong knowledge of NFPA13 and OSHA safety regulations
- NICET certification is a plus

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Climbing ladders and lifts
- Operating aerial lifts and construction equipment
- Working at heights on lifts, scaffolding and ladders
- Lifting and carrying heavy materials
- Working in all weather conditions hot, cold, wet and industrial environments
- Standing, bending, kneeling and working overhead for extended periods
- Work in confined spaces
- Ability to travel nationwide and work on-site for extended periods

Typical Schedule
- 10-hour shifts Monday – Friday common on project sites
- Frequent Saturday overtime as needed
- Overtime pay for work exceeding 40 hours (1.5)
- Typical hours 7AM - 5:30PM
- Travel required nationwide 4-6 weeks at a time
