Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Risk Analyst to join our organization’s compliance and risk management team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance risks across various financial and operational functions. Your expertise will support the organization in maintaining adherence to regulatory standards, internal policies, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a comprehensive understanding of financial concepts, and a proactive approach to compliance management. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough reviews of internal controls and compliance procedures aligned with frameworks such as COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act).
Perform internal audits to evaluate adherence to regulatory requirements including the Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Housing regulations, and securities law.
Analyze financial data and transactions to detect potential fraud, money laundering activities, or violations of banking regulations.
Support regulatory reporting processes by ensuring accuracy and completeness in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), TILA (Truth in Lending Act), and other relevant standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement compliance policies that mitigate operational risks.
Assist in the review and enhancement of compliance management systems utilizing financial software tools.
Participate in external audits related to internal controls, GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards), and public accounting standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA or CAMS are preferred.
Minimum of three years’ experience in compliance risk analysis within banking, financial services, or corporate accounting environments.
Strong knowledge of SOX compliance requirements, COSO framework, and internal audit procedures.
Familiarity with banking regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act, ACH (Automated Clearing House) operations, and securities law.
Proficiency with financial software applications and advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
Deep understanding of technical accounting principles including GAAP, GAAS auditing standards, and regulatory reporting obligations.
Excellent analytical abilities combined with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills to articulate complex compliance issues clearly across teams.
