Full Job Description

Job Title: Senior Civil Project Manager / Professional Engineer

Location: Flexible / Remote with Travel

Travel: Approximately 25–40%

Compensation: $200,000+ DOE

Tiello is partnered with a growing civil engineering and land development consulting firm supporting complex commercial, industrial, residential, and large-scale development projects across the United States.

The company provides end-to-end site development services, working closely with developers, municipalities, architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders from feasibility and entitlement through engineering, permitting, and construction.

Position Overview

The Senior Civil Project Manager / Professional Engineer will lead complex civil engineering and land development projects throughout the U.S. from initial feasibility through permitting, construction documents, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead civil engineering and land development projects from feasibility through construction
Manage large commercial, industrial, residential, mixed-use, and mission-critical developments
Oversee project scopes, budgets, schedules, staffing, deliverables, and overall performance
Provide technical leadership for grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, sanitary sewer, water systems, and roadway improvements
Review civil construction documents, engineering reports, specifications, calculations, and permit packages
Manage entitlement, permitting, plan processing, and agency coordination
Coordinate with developers, architects, surveyors, municipalities, consultants, contractors, and utility providers
Serve as a primary client contact and maintain strong client relationships
Lead project meetings and communicate project status, budgets, schedules, and technical issues
Identify site constraints and develop practical engineering solutions
Mentor and develop project engineers, junior engineers, designers, and CAD staff
Support the development of internal engineering standards and project delivery processes
Travel nationally for site visits, client meetings, due diligence, construction coordination, and field engineering as needed

Required Qualifications

15+ years of civil engineering experience
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline
Extensive land development and/or commercial site development experience
Strong understanding of the development process from feasibility and entitlement through permitted construction plans
Proven experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, clients, and multidisciplinary teams
Strong technical knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, and site infrastructure
Experience working with municipalities and permitting agencies
Strong client-facing, communication, and leadership skills
Experience mentoring and leading engineering and technical staff
Willingness and ability to travel nationally as project needs require
