Quality Director

Location: Westborough, MA 01581

Employment Type: Full-time/ Direct Hire

Shift: 1st Shift

Salary Range: $130,000 – $145,000

Overview

Ardent Staffing Solutions is seeking a Quality Director to manage the quality organization, develop quality policies, generate quality reports, and provide support across the company on quality-related initiatives. This position will be responsible for leading quality strategy, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement across operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the quality organization and team.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality policies, procedures, and objectives.
Lead quality planning initiatives related to process and product.
Collect and analyze data for nonconforming products and lead disposition activities (MRB Chairperson).
Plan and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage and maintain compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100) and support ISO 14001.
Serve as Management Representative for quality management systems.
Support environmental, health, and safety standards and initiatives.
Develop and deliver training related to quality standards and workmanship criteria.
Monitor and report on key performance metrics and drive improvement efforts.
Maintain calibration systems and preventive maintenance programs.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality system compliance.
Lead corrective action processes in partnership with Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
Support Lean/6S initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce defects.
Promote awareness of regulatory and customer requirements across the organization.
Ensure adherence to ESD and MSD handling requirements.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing systems.
Knowledge of IPC standards, including IPC-DVD-64C and IPC-A-610.
Familiarity with ISO standards, FDA regulations, and ITAR requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence teams.
Understanding of business operations and World Class Manufacturing practices.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
10+ years of related experience.
Proven experience managing teams and multiple technical projects.
Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with execution.

Work Environment & Compliance

Must adhere to all workplace safety and handling requirements, including ESD and MSD protocols.
Compliance with FDA and ITAR regulations is required.
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to ITAR/CUI requirements.
Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
