SierTeK Ltd. is seeking a Science and Engineering Research Program Manager to support an opportunity at Wright Patterson AFB

Essential Job Functions

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively, establish strong working relationships, coordinate technical exchanges, and manage expectations across diverse stakeholders.
Apply rigorous scientific inquiry and analytical methods to define, quantify, and assess the feasibility of projects, studies, or problems. Conduct independent analyses that result in well-founded recommendations and viable courses of action for complex technology challenges.
Identify additional analytical questions, evaluate and critique key elements of analysis, propose alternative approaches, and recommend appropriate analytical techniques.
Facilitate the transition of scientific results from the research environment to operational communities and/or end users.
Support portfolio management activities, including cost control, technical performance, scheduling, and risk management, ensuring successful delivery of technical objectives within established constraints.
Develop and deliver technical briefings, reports, and presentations. Ensure all program documentation and deliverables meet professional and organizational standards.
Work independently to design research studies and agreements, demonstrating strong attention to detail, organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to manage and follow through on complex projects.
Perform secondary and supporting duties within the scope of Science and Engineering functions, as required.

Minimum Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in engineering program management within the Department of Defense (DoD), an equivalent industry environment, or a combination of both.
Demonstrated expertise in a systems discipline (e.g., systems engineering, human systems integration, modeling and analysis), including application of systems thinking and a structured systems approach to problem-solving.
Proven ability to develop, review, and approve key technical documentation for software and hardware systems, including but not limited to:

Technical Roadmaps
System Design Documents
Use Cases
System Topologies
Test Plans
Product Transition Plans
Technical Proposals

Demonstrated experience in managing technical planning, risk management, and technology transition strategy development and execution.

Active Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in place due to access to confidential, proprietary, or sensitive information. NDA must be provided to the Government Program Manager at the start of performance.

Highly Desired Qualifications

Master’s degree in engineering or in a scientific domain related to systems engineering, human performance and/or human effectiveness.
Possesses one of the following minimum training requirements: DAWIA career field certification (Practitioner) in Engineering & Technical Management (ETM) OR Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Demonstrated experience working in a research and development program and/or studies surrounding human systems integration.
Experience with program utilizing Agile methodologies and incorporating AI management tools.
