Full Job Description

Commercial Roofing Estimator – Low-Slope Specialist (Remote)

Job Type: Full-Time, W-2
Location: Remote (Travel Required)
Salary: $100,000–$120,000 per year (based on experience) + Performance Bonuses

Position Overview

Pro Exteriors, LLC is seeking an experienced Commercial Low-Slope Roofing Estimator to join our growing team. This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be willing to travel for bid walks, site visits, pre-bid meetings, roof inspections, and project evaluations as needed.

This is NOT a general estimating position. We are specifically looking for an estimator with extensive experience in commercial low-slope roofing and a proven track record of preparing competitive, accurate bids for commercial projects.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of commercial low-slope roofing estimating experience
Proficiency with Edge Estimating Software (Required)
Extensive knowledge of TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, Built-Up Roofing (BUR), roof coatings, and other commercial low-slope roofing systems
Strong understanding of commercial roofing assemblies, manufacturer specifications, and installation methods
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, project manuals, and contract documents
Experience preparing complete material takeoffs, labor estimates, scopes of work, and competitive proposals
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Experience

Experience estimating and bidding:

Government/Public Works projects
General Contractor (GC) negotiated and hard-bid projects
Private commercial projects
Capital improvement (CapEx) projects
Educational, healthcare, industrial, municipal, retail, office, multifamily, and institutional facilities

Knowledge of procurement platforms, bid invitations, subcontractor coordination, and commercial bid processes is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Review RFQs, architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents
Perform complete material takeoffs and labor estimates using Edge Estimating Software
Develop accurate, competitive commercial roofing proposals
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
Attend bid walks, site visits, pre-bid meetings, and project evaluations
Coordinate with project management and operations to ensure successful project handoffs
Maintain current material pricing, vendor relationships, and estimating databases
Work closely with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure systems are specified correctly and competitively
